What is your most memorable karting moment? When I got my first Go-kart and had my first session in it, it was like the start of a dream come true.
What is your most embarrassing moment in Karting? Coming into the pits halfway through a race because the kart wasn't properly set up.
What is your funniest memory in Karting? My first run in the F100 at Todd Road, there was a guy in a clubman light and he was gouing pretty slow and then I overtook him down the straight and he freaked out and came in that lap. He didn't go out when I went out after that.
Do you have any sponsors or people you want to thank for their support? (Pit crew, family, sponsors etc ;) Family for all their help and support, especially my dad for all his help on the kart, Dean and David from Master Karting for all their help and support over the last couple of months and J&A Tuning for the great engines during my career. Keep it up!
Do you have any other family members that race also? My dad and my uncle used to race many years ago.
Do you set goals for yourself in Karting? If so, what are they? I always want to win, that's the major goal, but I guess you have to take it as it comes.
Tell us about someone who inspires you, or is a Mentor to you and why? I don't have a mentor, I just inspire myself to do the best I can, but at the same time enjoy myself.
Most admired racer outside Karting and why? There are 2. Michael Schumacher, because he is so consistent in his driving. Mark Webber, because he made his way to F1 the hard way.
If you won a million dollars today, and had to spend it in 24 hours, what would you spend it on? A drive in Formula BMW and a Ferrari 550 GTB.
What do you think needs the most improvement in karting in Australia today? The AKA need to introduce classes that are raced in Europe, such as KF3, KF2, and KF1 (CIK racing format) so that youngsters can prepare themselves for international competition at an early age.
If you got the opportunity to have 5 minutes to have your say as a Karting competitor at an AKA Conference on any subject whatsoever, what would you talk about? And why does it mean so much to you as a Karter? The same as above. There really is no use in racing low powered classes if you want to have any hope of competing on an international basis.
What thing you like most about karting? The adrenalin rush you get when you sit in the kart and win.
What thing you like least about Karting? Having a DNF in a championship race.
What cheeses you off? When you pass a slower driver and they pass you back the next corner instead of sticking behind you and trying to catch the leader.
What is your Favourite Food? Japanese and mum's Smoked Salmon Pasta!
What is your Fitness Routine? Daily work out in the home gym, jogging and doing weights.
Tips or Philosophies on winning? Buy a Kosmic!
What I have learned or gained from Kart Racing? If you finish second, you're the first loser!
What are your future Ambition's? To get to Formula 1!
